This policy explains what personal information Verdara Journeys Ltd collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it the way we write everything: plainly. The short version is that we collect only what we need to plan and run your journey, we never sell it, and you can ask us what we hold about you at any time.
When you enquire or book, we collect your name, contact details, and whatever you choose to tell us about your plans — party size, dates, interests, and anything relevant to looking after you well. When you book, we additionally collect the details needed for travel: emergency contacts, dietary requirements, relevant medical information you choose to share, and insurance details.
We use this information to plan and operate your journey, to share necessary details with the hosts and guides who deliver it, and to keep in touch with you about your booking. Health and dietary information is shared only with the people who need it to keep you safe and fed — your guide and the kitchens cooking for you — and never used for anything else.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run advertising trackers on this website. We do not add you to marketing lists you didn’t ask to join.
Your details are shared with the local hosts, accommodation, and guides involved in your journey — only what each needs, only for your travel dates. We use a small number of service providers (email, secure payments, booking records) who process data on our instructions under written agreements. Where a journey takes place outside the UK, the minimum necessary details travel with it, protected by appropriate safeguards.
Enquiry details are kept for two years from our last exchange, in case you come back to a plan. Booking records are kept for seven years to meet accounting and legal obligations. Health and dietary notes are deleted within three months of your journey ending.
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or — subject to our legal obligations — ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@verdarajourneys.example and a person will reply within a month, usually much sooner. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
